Tim,

You have me excited about painting. When you decide to offer classes, webinars, sell dvd's, or whatever, please let me know so I can learn painting techniques from you. This painting is fantastic! Take care.

Kirby,
Thanks for that. Sadly I can't get specific about anything CS5 until after the announcement on 12th April (Otherwise "The Boys" come and clap me in irons!). However, even in CS4 you have the Roate View Tool which means you can easily rotate the canvas around 360 degrees. I've never had call to use it whilst painting however, and it's an Open GL feature (You'll find it nested with the Hand Tool in the toolbar.
Cheers,
T

Tim,
Great painting, I wonder if you can confirm that you can rotate the canvas intuitively as you can in Painter? That has always been a hang up for painting in PS but you clearly think CS5 it is very intuitive.

hey Tim! Nice stuff, thanks for sharing. I am really stoked about the CS5 release. We will need to do some classes at DAA with CS5.

[...] WOW - Photoshop CS5 painting capabilities This example was created byTim Shelbourne using the new painting capabilities of Photoshop CS 5. My opinion: VERY impressive. I think the folks at Corel who make Painter have reason to be very nervous. http://www.tjshelbourne.co.uk/?p=146 [...]

Oh my goodness Tim, this is drop dead brilliant! If I have to hock some jewelry, I'm going to get that upgrade!

I'm so excited about this new version and that you are going to teach.

Hugs,
